To (Un)finished Stories…

2021, was a year full of hope, possibilities and lessons. A year which made us realize that sometimes things don’t work out like we want them to; they’re better or worse.

We all had mixed feelings when the announcement of offline colleges and schools was made. We were excited, nervous and anxious at the same time for what may come further. But we nailed it, didn’t we?

We engrossed ourselves in something that we never thought we would and truly loved it. Some of us found a new path towards an unpredictable journey. Some of us developed a new hobby. Moreover, we found our inner self.

We smiled and laughed our hearts out with our favorite people. We fell in love, fell out of it. We made new friends, lost some close ones – realized that life goes on with or without them. We faced failures and roadblocks, cried to ourselves without letting anyone know, had the worst fights but here we are – stronger than ever.

To the people I lost this year, I want you to know that I understand why things ended between us. Not that I’m happy about it, but I guess I know why things turned out the way it did. I’ll always cherish the memories we’ve made over the period. And, if I was the one who stopped talking to you, I am sorry but I had my own reasons and I’m sure you’ll understand. I’ll be grateful to you for being a part of my life.

This year made me realize that some things end for a good cause. Let us hope that we can maintain the relationships with those we love. Let us hope that 2022 would be a better year for us. Cheers to the memories we’ve made and to the days when we’ve laughed without worrying about anything.

2021 – you’ve taught me a lot of lessons. Thank you for everything. Goodbye, it’s your time to end.
